G. Loomis Bass Senko Series Rods $245
Click Here for Product Details! When the bass are cruising the shallow flats and shallow creek channels in the spring you need a bait that will stay in the strike zone as long as possible yet still have enough action to entice a strike. A good choice is the soft plastic jerkbait. Our “Senko” rods are designed to fish these baits effectively for a number of reasons. Longer rods create a greater casting and hook-setting radius. That means more tip-speed to initiate the hook-set and increased casting distance which is really important since the baits weigh next to nothing. It’s not such a problem with the Senko or the Yum Dinger because they are the heaviest of the soft jerkbaits, but with baits like the Super Fluke, the Bass Assassin and Jerk Worm, you need a rod with a tip that will give you the ability to make nice long casts so you can cover more water, along with enough power to set the hook, even when they’re out there “a country mile”. We offer two levels of performance. The MossyBack rods are our mid-priced models and feature our proprietary “fiber-blend” construction with Fuji guides and reel seats. Our incredibly light and sensitive GLX models feature RECOIL guides, known for their light weight and durability, along with Fuji reel seats. There are two casting rods and one spinning rod in each series to cover all aspects of fishing soft jerkbaits. Look for the “Senko” on the rod!
G. Loomis Drop Shot Series Rods $250
Click Here for Product Details! We make such an effort to keep baits on the bottom because that is where a lot of the food is, but there are times when something a little more subtle is required. Sometimes you just have to put the bait in the fishs way and let it wiggle. Drop-shotting puts the bait up off the bottom, where th fish can see it. You place the hook on the line, X inches above the weight according to the cover and let their curiosity get the best of them. A bait dragged, hopped or swam along the bottom or around cover will catch the aggressive feeders , but we are after the lethargic fish - the pressured fish... the fish that are either in a neutral state or just plain arent hungry.
G. Loomis Shakey Head Series Rods $240
Click Here for Product Details! A great technique for getting results in lakes where the fish get a lot of pressure and have seen about every type of bait you can imagine. Shallow, deep, around docks and even when the fish are on the beds, the ShakyHead rig may not be the go-to tactic under normal conditions, but it’s highly effective when the going gets tough. It’s a unique style that requires a special rod action to impart a quiver into a small finesse worm mounted on a relatively light jighead by subtly shaking the rod tip. It’s kind of like drop-shotting right on the bottom. The rod has a little stiffer feel because the real flex starts about 4-6 inches from the tip-top, creating a unique action so you can shake the jig/worm combination without moving the bait a lot. It takes some practice, but it can really make a difference in your success rate.
G. Loomis Walleye Series Rods $235
Click Here for Product Details! Our goal has always been to make very accurate, high performance, technique-specific walleye rods... the best money can buy! Now, thanks to the input received from tournament anglers, guides, shop owners and pro staffers, we’ve made an already popular and effective series of technique-specific rods even better. Sporting a new look and new actions, these rods are all about performance! Over the years, some of the techniques have changed, fisheries have changed and anglers have adjusted, so we too have adjusted, totally redesigning our entire selection of walleye rods, improving the actions with even more precise tapers and length adjustments to cover the most technical aspects of the fishery, especially where light weight and sensitivity are an important factor for success. There are eight models in our proprietary “blended fibers” with Fuji Alconite guides and eight of the same models in GLX with Recoil guides. We have rods specifically designed for pitching jigs, vertical jigging, bait rigs and back-bouncing. When lightweight and sensitivity really matters, we recommend GLX!! You’ll discover a world of difference.
G. Loomis Steelhead Series Rods $300
Click Here for Product Details! Steelhead have a way of finding holding water that’s either so close to the bank that you spook them or so far away that you can’t fish it effectively. When you need to drift a bait or lure against the opposite shoreline you need distance. When you need to fish a seam in the middle of the river you need accuracy. When you get the chance to fish all day long, you want a rod that’s as light as possible. When the bite is normally so light it’s hard to tell it from the rocks, you really need sensitivity. We know that’s a lot to expect from a fishing rod, but it’s what you get with our Steelhead Series.
G. Loomis Salmon Series Rods $260
Click Here for Product Details! Salmon can be found in rivers, holding in front of rocks, behind rocks, beside rocks, in depressions, above the riffle, below the riffle and, on occasion, in the riffle. They hug the bottom and they suspend. They stage up in tidewater, waiting for the rains to fill the rivers. Again… they hug the bottom and they suspend. Basically, they are where you find them and try as you might, it would be rare to find a rod that could handle all the varying techniques required to be successful. That’s exactly why we developed the Salmon Series. Unique actions and rod designs made to give you the optimum advantage when it comes to catching these giant sea run creatures whose bite, at times, can be lighter than a trout. Techniques vary from region to region, waterway to waterway. There’s drift mooching and power mooching in the ocean, trolling in the estuaries and drift fishing, plug fishing, bobber fishing and back-bouncing in the rivers. There are special finesse techniques developed and known by only a few that can trigger bites when nothing else will work and we make rods for all of them. The fish can be aggressive, selective, moody and negative all in the same day. Fish found in a nice run or a deep hole one day can move upstream and disappear overnight. Holes totally devoid of fish one day can be packed the next. It’s the nature of the beast and it’s why we make 14 different models covering five different techniques. This is our turf! This is salmon country and it’s what we do.
G. Loomis Classic Hot Shot $235
Click Here for Product Details! The “Hot Shot” rods have light to medium tips and magnum butt-sections. They were originally designed to fish steelhead plugs, like the Hot Shot, where the boat actually is positioned at the head of a run, letting the current “pull” the plug down to the fish zone, near the bottom. The boat sweeps back and forth, across the current so the plugs cover the entire width of the river, then slips further down stream, repeating the process. Lure action is monitored by watching the rod tip wiggle as the lure digs for the bottom. When a fish hits the plug, the magnum butt-section actually sets the hook by the force created by the strike, and the boat operator keeps initial tension on the fish until the angler can grab the rod from the holder. The very nature of this design makes it a good casting tool, and a better fish-fighting tool. Many anglers have discovered they are also very effective for a lot of different applications.
G. Loomis Classic Steelhead Series Rods $225
Click Here for Product Details! These are the rods that put G.Loomis on the map. They are light, sensitive and extremely efficient. In our opinion, the two most important factors in a steelhead rod are sensitivity and line control. It’s amazing… as big as these fish are, their bite is so subtle that if you don’t have an extremely sensitive rod you can miss a lot of fish. Drift fishermen, whether fishing from a boat or the shore, face many variables. Water levels fluctuate depending on the weather. Some rivers are low and clear, requiring light line and a stealthy approach, while others are big and more off color, allowing heavier gear and no finesse at all. Rod length is important! Anglers fishing small coastal streams can get by with a short rod while longer rods work much better on big rivers. A longer rod gives you a more direct angle of entry into the water and that means less line drag from the current. Less drag means more sensitivity and knowing what’s going on at the end of your line is what makes the difference. G.Loomis steelhead rods are designed with a dynamic, sensitive tip and a moderately powered butt that allow you to fish a variety of line weights and lure sizes. We make several different lengths and power-ratings, giving you numerous options for most fishing conditions. Select the rod that best matches your requirements giving careful consideration to the different levels of graphite performance.
G. Loomis Trout Series Spinning Rods $215
Click Here for Product Details! A specialized series of spinning rods designed specifically for trout fishing. Using our proprietary "fiber blend" and GLX levels of performance, our goal is to provide anglers with a "sky is the limit" approach to the fishery. Originally made in 2-piece configurations for ease in transportability, a new - for 2010 - selection of 1-piece rods has been added for those anglers that want the ultimate in light weight and performance. Effective for lake or stream fishing, these rods are made with one objective in mind... to help serious trout anglers become more successful and enjoy their time on the water with the lightest, most sensitive rods available. Four models are available in GLX... two 1-piece and two 2-piece rods. The entire series features fast tips for the ultimate in control, whether your pitching a spinner, a marabou jig or drifting single eggs on your favorite creek . The "fiber blend" models feature a combination of regular cork and composite cork for a new, unique looking rear grip with up-locking reel seats and Fuji, single-foot Alconite guides. The GLX models feature Recoil guides, cork & foam grips with up-locking reel seat. To quote Field & Stream Magazine rod testers, during their annual "Best of the Best Awards" field reviews in 2008, they said, "These rods are like fishing with a feather!" Imagine what the new 1-piece rods feel like... they’re even lighter! Varying in power from ultra-light to light, rated from 1-pound test line up to 8-pound, they are surprisingly strong. You’ll want to take one these rods along for all your fishing adventures. How big a fish can you catch on one of these rods? You might be surprised! The sky is the limit!"
G. Loomis Classic Trout and Panfish Spinning Rods $130
Click Here for Product Details! Ultra-lite fishing is a heck of a lot of fun. Techniques vary from small jigs or bait to micro-sized crankbaits and tiny spinners. Matching rods to such a variety of uses is a challenge, but not impossible. Our Classic trout & panfish (SR) rods are designed primarily for small freshwater species, but as anglers will, they’ve discovered a multitude of different applications for these light-duty rods including bass fishing with small lures & soft plastics, shad fishing with darts and tiny jigs, bonefish and seatrout fishing on the flats with small grubs and jigs. The rods we’ve put into this series have moderate to fast tapers with ultra-light to medium power ratings. They are designed to protect light line, but don’t let that fool you. They are remarkably strong and can handle surprisingly big fish. We offer a number of options in levels of graphite performance, length, powers and actions. Some anglers prefer a short rod while others prefer a longer rod, depending on the technique. It all depends on what you look for in a light-duty spinning rod. Whatever your choice, we’re confident we’ve got all the bases covered... ENJOY!

They are accurate, sensitive, powerful and extremely light. The MossyBack rods are our mid-price models and feature our prorietary fiber-blend construction with Fuji guides and reel seats. G. Loomis Bass Spinnerbait Series Rods $200
Click Here for Product Details! These rods are designed specifically to fish spinnerbaits. They feature extra-fast tips to help improve accuracy and lower the trajectory on your casts. That means the wind has less affect on your bait. Most bass anglers understand what it means when a spinnerbait “parachutes”. It has an extremely negative effect on distance as well as accuracy and it’s inefficient as can be. These rods load effortlessly, allowing quick underhand snap casts so you can cover a lot of water. The other advantage of the extra-fast action is the power in the butt-section. The combination of accuracy and control embellished by the ability to control fish of any size in heavy cover give you an added advantage when you really need it. The standard spinnerbait rods feature our “fiber blend technology”, Fuji guides and Fuji’s ECS “exposed blank” trigger reel seat. The only exception is the SBR864C, which utilizes a much larger blank so it has a standard Fuji trigger real seat. The GLX versions are much lighter and a lot more sensitive and feature RECOIL guides. Bass anglers are becoming more and more specialized in their sport. It makes sense to have a rod designed for each type of lure or technique. Spinnerbaits may be fished by more anglers than any other single bass lure. We think they deserve their own special action and overall design. Fish them and we’re confident that you’ll agree!
